The purpose of this post is to share the important research done by Susan Cain into the place of introverts in our World.
Susan has published her work in her book, “QUIET. The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking”. It is published in Australia by the Penguin Group (Australia) 2013.
In my coaching I have often worked with people who are deeply introverted, trying to determine strategies for managing in workplaces where extroverts so often hold sway. I have also worked with extroverts married to introverts trying to work out how to find accord with their loved ones in terms of how they live mutually happy lives together. For this reason I wanted to share knowledge of Susan Cain’s work. This is simply one of the most fascinating and valuable books I have ever read and I commend it to you. It is an important work for both Introverts and Extroverts.
As an immediate insight to Susan Cain’s work you might like to review her TED talk, from March 2012, at:
the video runs for some 19 minutes.
While I am sharing this link it is no substitute for reading the book.
